We're Making the World A Better Place

Over the past several decades, Red Lion Hotels Corporation and its hotel chains - Red Lion Hotels and WestCoast Hotel Partners - has become synonymous with philanthropic efforts in the Northwest and beyond.
Now, with the introduction of TEAM RED, our new community-service initiative, we have taken a major step in our endeavor to live up to one of our core values -- an ongoing commitment to making our communities a better place to live, work and conduct business. In doing so, we have also begun to change the way other hotel chains view the way they interact with their communities.
TEAM RED is a grassroots initiative. It's about giving back to the community in a personal, tangible way. It's not about simply giving money away to select groups. It's about giving away time, ideas, hard work and sweat to our local communities.
All of our individual properties have formed their own TEAM RED. These teams are comprised of associate and community volunteers. Over the course of each year, these teams will head out into their communities to work with local and community leaders to tackle the kinds of projects that are important to their cities and towns. These are volunteers who are rolling up their sleeves and working, hands-on, side-by-side with their communities on projects ranging from sprucing up and refurbishing homes, rec centers, churches, parks, schools, a block, even a neighborhood ... to helping to build affordable housing ... or working to develop long-term community-based programs with partners such as a zoo, an arts council, a science museum, educational foundation, etc.
But TEAM RED is much bigger than just Red Lion Hotels Corporation and its associates. And we realize it. Through the years, our partnerships with a wide range of people and organizations on the local, regional and national levels have helped to nurture our philanthropic success. That's why our properties are inviting individual consumers, hotel guests, businesses, corporate partners, and non-profit and civic organizations to sign on and work with us.
